Dr. Lauren Young

After dental school, Dr. Young worked for a pediatric dental group in Los Angeles for several years before moving to Hawaii for her residency program. She completed a 2-year postdoctoral specialty program in Pediatric Dentistry through NYU Langone Health Hawaii and served as Chief Resident. During her residency program, Dr. Young worked in several hospitals and community health centers on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island. She also completed an externship with Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego where she gained experience working with children with special health care needs.
Dr. Young is proud to be a part of the team at Diamond Head Children’s Dentistry and has continued to enjoy providing high quality dental care to the children of Hawaii. Her focus is on educating her patients on prevention, fostering a positive experience at the dentist and helping her patients experience a lifetime of good oral health.
Dr. Young is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. In addition to seeing her patients in private practice, she also has hospital privileges at Shriners Hospital. She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), Hawaii Dental Association (HDA), Western Society of Pediatric Dentistry (WSPD), Honolulu Pediatric Dental Study Club and the Honolulu County Dental Association. She is BLS and PALS certified.
In her free time, Dr. Young likes spending time with her husband and their two children. She is a cooking and baking enthusiast and loves to golf.
